The informal settlements in Iran, like many other developing countries,is a manifestation of the growing spatial inequalities and increasing povertyin the cities. Of this way of living we can refer to the northern parts of Tabrizthat is rapidly expanding with its own mechanisms. Therefore the purpose ofthis paper is the assessment of social poverty in the northern suburbanmarginalized regions of Tabriz and then comparing it with Tabriz city. Thepresent analysis as a descriptive one is applied with quantitative method. Thestatistical population is marginalized of the northern regions of Tabriz in2011. Research data is extracted from the General Population and HousingCensus in 2011 of Statistical Center of Iran.
