Abstract
The public sphere is a phenomenon that implies processes and Spaces of
free social communications which are equal in regard of political aspect and
simultaneously independent. The public sphere is recognized as a territory of
social life where individuals can debate freely matters of interests. A
territory in which differences can be brought up and solved through logical
discussion, without referring to dogmatism or the traditional orders issued by
conventions.
The main component of the formation of public sphere is participation.
The social capital component seems crucial for formation of sustainable
participation in the public sphere. A capital that provides mutual trust for
taking part in the discussion, and consequently it makes the agreement
possible.
This paper studies Neshat Park in Kerman city with case study and by
using two methods of observation and questioner to measure the social
capital and indices of human city as a proper platform for social sustainable
interaction. It displays how the proper public physical space is crucial for
realization of the basic aspects of the public sphere.
