In recent decades, Transit Oriented Development (TOD) approach has been proposed to overcome the negative impacts of spreading cities, such as increased traffic, air pollution, and environmental problems. Recently, some developing countries have used the approach to revise the traditional master plans. This article represents a framework for evaluating development plans by using TOD principles. The evaluation is based on 5 criteria (Density, Diversity, Design, Destination Accessibility, and Distance to Transit) and the relationship between the criteria. One hundred points are divided among all of the criteria. The evaluation process uses a dynamic zoning system in walkable areas for neighborhood residents. Therefore, a real and detailed image of principles in the neighborhood context will be presented. Using the framework, weaknesses, and strengths of development plans will be determined by details. Finally, the outcomes of the evaluation are statistical figures and geographic maps that may be used for improving development plans. Neyshabour master plan has been evaluated by the method, and the results show that planning and designing the city is not according to TOD principles. Most of the TOD criteria have low points in the city. Therefore, the master plan needs to be checked.

Social sustainability to respond to the social problems and issues of cities and as an efficient dimension in achieving sustainable urban development, is a discourse that has been highly regarded by urban researchers in the last two decades. An important issue is the lack of a comprehensive and systematic research in the field of built urban environments, urban policies and programs. Therefore, the purpose of this study is a meta-synthesis review of selected sources to clarify the dimensions of social sustainability in these areas. To achieve this goal, leading research using seven steps of meta-synthesis browsing and data coding using MAXQDA software, has identified four categories of urban form, policies and programs, dimensions and features and the main areas of social sustainability. By understanding and explaining the stated categories, the results of studies are presented in a framework of social sustainability, including conceptualization, policy-making and action in the built urban environment. Each of these dimensions, in a further combination with each other, enters into democracy-based, participation-oriented and ideology-oriented discourses. Social sustainability is discourse-oriented. Planners can validate the powerlessness and silence of the excluded by representing their values, ideas, and worldviews, and somehow turn them into the dominant ideology for achieving sustainability. A deep understanding of the results provides a basis for future studies so that they can conduct further studies in each of the proposed discourses and try to link them more effectively to social sustainability.

Irregularities and disturbances in materials, form and style, number of the openings, billboards and extensions of the facades, have taken the view of today's cities away from the desired Islamic pattern. Observing visual disturbances degrades the viewer's mental evaluation of the quality of urban places, and the issue of showing off, along with its damage and insecurity, necessitates a careful examination of the conformity of the facade with the expectations of Islamic jurisprudence. This qualitative research, through documentary study, tries to assess the status of jurisprudential rules governing the management and design of urban landscapes as its main purpose of this study and by referring to the rules of sanctity of modeling from strangers, harmless rule, waste rule, the rule of respecting people's rights and avoiding aristocracy, critique and pathology of urban landscapes. This article concludes that a committee consisting of experts in landscape design, urban landscape and jurisprudential rules should examine the compliance of design plans and patterns with the jurisprudential rules and moral rules of the urban landscape. Also, each of the materials due to its characteristics may be in conflict with some jurisprudential rules, which requires facade designers to provide patterns in accordance with the ethics of landscaping and in accordance with the rules of jurisprudence.

situation of the Tehran urban complex was integrated and the suggestions were classified into two dimensions: institutional change and institutional agreement, which can modify the structure of institutional relations in the urban complex of Tehran and direct it towards the sustainable development of its spatial structure. One of the solutions to get out of the problems of the metropolis of Tehran and to achieve the goals of the Tehran urban complex is to use an institutionalist approach indeed. Although the institutional structure of the Tehran urban complex is currently significantly different from the goals of the urban complex design and institutional approach, this does not indicate the inefficiency of this design and institutional approach. The results derived from the review of articles showed that reforming the organizational structure of Tehran urban complex is the prominent step towards achieving the goals of Tehran urban complex. At the level of variables, the model of multicenter development in order to change the planning systems emphasis on the necessity of comprehensive and integrated management in the metropolitan area, moving towards metropolitan area governance, decentralization and creating a multifaceted functional network, transparency, accountability and collaboration. Finally, although institutional agreements formally and informally affect the realization of the goals of the Tehran metropolitan complex, what moves the infrastructure of Majmo-e-shahri plan to advance its goals is institutional change that can have lasting and long-term results and effects.

A prosperous urban space has subjective and objective components, and paying attention to physical indicators has a decisive role to create a "successful" place. One of its strategies is the development of pedestrian zone in cities. This research has been carried out in search of the answer to what factors can contribute to the success of pedesteriazation projects. The present article, investigating the objective of qualitative and quantitative components of the place, deals with the comparative analysis of the pedestrian street construction plan of two streets leading to the centre square of Hamedan city, before and after implementation. The research method is a combination of qualitative and quantitative, and the collection of information, along with library and documentary studies, is done through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The research findings show that in this case study, unlike sociability acceptance, the three indicators of access, use and activities, comfort and creating a mental image, are not improved, and there is a strong relationship between interconnectedness and sociability. Also, the improvement of the quality of the place cannot be done in a one-dimensional way and with a narrow view of certain components, and it requires that the pedesteriazation plans are implemented considering all the components.

The metropolis of Tehran is faced by sharp increase in population in the last century which is about twenty times. So that it experiences traffic issues in the most days of the year. One of the requirements to reduce the traffic congestion is to shift in transport mode shares from private motor vehicles to the more sustainable modes which is used as a solution in Transit oriented development (TOD). According to above-mentioned words, the increase in issues caused by traffic congestions in cities is revealed the need of applying TOD more than ever.TOD as a new approach to make a shift in behavioral and spatial characteristic of the cities, is applied in many countries since 1993 to alleviate deadly traffic congestion. The aim of this research is to evaluate, analyse and plan the development within catchment area of Monirieh metro station based on the principles of TOD. The research methodology is practical. Firstly, the TOD principles will be introduced. Then, the characteristics of the study area have been evaluated according to TOD principles and the standards of the Institute for Development and Transportation Policy (ITDP). The outcomes of the research showed that catchment area of Monirieh metro station did not achieve appropriate points based on TOD standards. In the other word, the city planning is car-oriented and motor vehicles are prioritized rather than the pedestrians. In order to reach the standard rankings, it is required to make amendment in planning and designing within the walking distance of this station.
